MaxMaguire, thirty-year-old NYPD detective, is in France again, this time serving as a bodyguardfor a famous American wine critic, who is traveling to Bordeaux to taste someof the most expensive wines in the world. In the tragic circumstances thatfollow, she is once again paired with French examining magistrate OlivierChaumont, with whom she solved another case the year before. As thebicultural duo pursues a murderer on the loose, they run headlong into acounterfeiting operation. Their investigation sends them to chateaux in France aswell as posh apartments, wine clubs, and US auction houses as they desperatelytry to prevent more violence.
